Chuck Wallington
The founder of Covenant Group enjoys a rich heritage in the Christian retail industry. (He is one of the very few third generation CBA store owners!)
Chuck's store, Christian Supply, Inc. of Spartanburg, SC, has been consistently recognized as one of the most creative, innovative, and well-run retail organizations in CBA! Indeed, they currently are the largest volume, family-owned, single-store operation in the industry with retail sales in excess of $7 million through their 35,000 square foot store.
Perhaps more importantly, Chuck has always had a "heart" for Christian retail, beginning work in his mother and father's store at the age of only 15. His desire is to elevate CBA store promotions to a level that not only equals, but exceeds that of most other retailers in the community, through innovation and creative methods executed at the highest level of quality and expertise. This is why he has recruited the following Covenant Group "team members" to assist the dealerships served by the group...
Michael Briggs
As president of Briggs Creative, Mike is recognized throughout the CBA industry as one of the most creative retails minds in Christian retail. Having been involved in marketing, management and purchasing for his family's 7-store independent chain (Dicksons Bookstores of Royal Oak, MI) for many years, he too brings a significant "real-life experience" retail background to the group, along with his extensive marketing abilities.
Mike assists with catalog layout and design, product selection, and various creative steps in each promotion we offer.
Greg Holland
Another former retailer, Greg Holland, handles all data processing and mailing list services for the Covenant Group dealerships that utilize these (all mailing list services are optional to all member dealerships). Following many years of retail management experience, and a five-year stint with a national chain developing their mailing list capabilities, Greg brings to Covenant Group dealerships a wide array of services that go even beyond "preparing their mailing lists".
For those dealerships that wish to, optional promotion tracking and reporting, as well as various sales reporting tools are available through Greg and Greg Holland & Associates.
With these optional services, and his vast experience and knowledge, Greg is an excellent source of virtually every piece of data analysis and processing a dealership could desire!
(NOTE: While Covenant Group counts Greg Holland as a key part of its resource team, most of Greg's services are available on an optional basis, and are contracted directly with GHA. Covenant Group does not receive any commissions or reimbursements from GHA, and indeed, offers subsidies for some of his services to member dealerships.)
Koechel-Peterson & Associates
For our catalog layout, photography, and design process, we have enrolled the "premiere" art and design services organization in the CBA market, Koechel-Peterson & Associates. Owners David Koechel and John Peterson and the excellent staff they have assembled, are renowned for their catalog layout, cover design, and image development work in this industry and beyond.
The creative energies and talent of the Koechel-Peterson staff, coupled with the retail expertise represented in the Covenant Group office and consultant team, promise catalog designs and presentation of products that stand above most others in the industry on a consistent basis.
Dianne Yon
Bringing to the Covenant Group her more than 12 years of experience overseeing the marketing, public relations, events, and advertising for Christian Supply, Inc of Spartanburg, SC; Dianne has a wealth of background in Christian retail. She coordinates much of the correspondence with vendor partners and also assists stores with details concerning promotional specials, dealer imprints on catalogs, and various other administrative questions.
Joey McDowell
In his role of coordinating all in-store merchandising and product display for Christian Supply, Inc. (Spartanburg, SC), Joey has almost 20 years of experience in presenting product and creating a sense of retail excitement in one of the nation's largest Christian retail stores (over 35,000 square feet!). Under his leadership, the store has twice been awarded CBA industry Impact Awards for excellence in instore merchandising. Joey develops all seasonal POP materials, assists in catalog design and concept, and oversees printing and production of seasonal and event-related POP kits.
